It has emerged that Leeds United is now prepared to write off the summer additions of 2022 and accept a low-ball offer to let go of one struggling player.

Leeds has finished overhauling their squad.

Even though they are currently dominating the Championship, a year ago, Elland Road had a completely different atmosphere. In an effort to stay in the Premier League, Leeds fired Jesse Marsch and hired Javi Gracia after spending a lot of money on a number of new players during the summer and January transfer windows.

When it failed, practically every new player they signed moved on, either permanently or on loan. Ten new players joined the team in an attempt to maintain their position in the top flight. With five more players out on loan and their futures still very much up in the air ahead of a pivotal summer, only two players are left at the club.

Leeds is currently fighting for promotion, so if they manage to get back into the top flight, there may be an opportunity to bring some of the loanees back into the team. One of those five, though, has already had the door firmly shut on their season-long absence.

Outcast from Leeds free to depart permanently

Football Insider reports that US talent Brenden Aaronson’s future has already been decided. Daniel Farke will reportedly “put him up for sale” and “accept any appropriate offers” this summer, with the 23-year-old expected to leave “either permanently or on another loan move.”
