BREAKING NEWS: The megastar of the Carolina Panthers has joined the Los Angeles Chargers…

Veteran tight end Hayden Hurst has agreed to a contract with the Los Angeles Chargers following his release from the Carolina Panthers.

NFL rumors: Ex-Panthers TE Hayden Hurst expected to sign with Chargers

Hurst caught 18 catches for 184 yards and a touchdown in his nine games this season.

The only touchdown was scored in the first game of the season against the Atlanta Falcons, which also happened to be Bryce Young’s first touchdown pass of his career.

Despite his brief tenure in Carolina, he will always be remembered for throwing Young’s first touchdown pass rows deep into the Mercedes-Benz Stadium crowd.

Hurst had a concussion during the team’s Thursday night game in Chicago in the middle of November, and he never played again for the Panthers.

A few weeks later, his father, Jerry, provided an update on his son’s health, disclosing that he had been diagnosed with post-traumatic amnesia.

Not a career-ending injury, but a “scary” circumstance, according to Hayden.

At tight end, Tommy Tremble and Ian Thomas are currently Carolina’s best two options.
