49ers could sign former superstar with Deebo Samuel out for weeks

This season, the San Francisco 49ers have been dealing with some terrible luck.

Star running back Christian McCaffrey of San Francisco has not been available for a game yet this season. Now, fellow standout Deebo Samuel will not be available for the 49ers to use. The standout receiver’s calf issue will cause him to lose time.

The 49ers should be searching free agency for opportunities to add more depth in the near future since they can’t afford to put themselves in too much of a hole. Michael Thomas, the former star of the New Orleans Saints, is one guy who would match this description nicely.

He was one of the NFL’s most potent receivers at one point. Even if injuries cost him that, he still had a successful season. He showed up had little under 500 receiving yards in 10 games the previous season.
