Breaking news: Kansas City Chiefs standout player named to the NFL’s offensive “All-Rookie Team.”

The NFL is still releasing buzz lists to get fans psyched for the 2024 season while coaches and players take advantage of their holiday before the long haul.

Chad Reuter of NFL.com unveiled his offensive “All-Rookie Team” for 2024 on Tuesday. As was probably to be expected, one Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver made the list.

Brett Veach, general manager, traded for the 28th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft to choose Xavier Worthy of Texas. What Reuter said was as follows:

One of the best matchups of skill and team needs in the draft occurred when Worthy and the Chiefs joined forces. Early in the season, Patrick Mahomes will take notice of him because of his ability to sprint past defenders and make moves after the catch. Worthy may be given opportunities as a result of Rashee Rice’s off-field problems and any discrepancies displayed by veterans Mecole Hardman and Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. As a kick returner, Worthy may also be able to secure a position on the All-Rookie team.

Worthy is anticipated to start for Kansas City in Week 1 as a punt returner, and the Chiefs are hoping for a return to their downfield approach with his incorporation into the offence with Brown.

There’s hope that Worthy can achieve something akin to the output that Rice amassed in his Kansas City rookie season. Head coach Andy Reid is the best choice for Worthy from a scheme perspective because he will find ways to capitalise on that exceptional quality, just as he did with Hardman and Tyreek Hill.

Kingsley Suamataia, an offensive tackle, was selected by the Chiefs at Pick 63 in Round 2, which was lucky for them since many draft analysts believed he could have gone to them in Round 1. Perhaps he impresses enough to look back on this list as a snub if he defeats Wanya Morris for the job.
