On July 16, Graeme Bailey wrote in the online publication that although discussions on a possible new contract were initiated, they were put on hold since the Whites were unable to advance.

According to the source, Everton is in the lead in their pursuit of the Leeds regular, who is 20 years old.

Cesc Fabregas, though, now hopes to move the striker to Serie A so he can play for Como.

The striker is reportedly being targeted by a number of teams this summer, including Roma and Newcastle United, with a Premier League transfer desired.

Wilfried Gnonto should be sold by Leeds United this summer.

It was obvious this summer at Elland Road that something needed to change after their season-long inability to secure promotion.

And what has happened is change. Archie Grey left Leeds for Tottenham for a reported £40 million, but Joe Rodon is back and will undoubtedly start for Daniel Farke’s team.

Although fans were somewhat surprised by Gray’s departure, it was widely known that the West Yorkshire team had to make a significant sell in order to comply with the EFL’s PSR regulations.

Conversely, when Leeds appeared to be getting promoted last summer, there was less chatter about Gnonto being linked to a move elsewhere. Since those expectations came to naught, speculations have flared up once more.

It seems like Gnonto wants to leave when things get hard. The Whites should just let him go at this time, transfer fee depending.

There’s no reason why United should turn down a reasonable offer this time around, since the West Yorkshire club would then be able to reinvest the money obtained overall.
