Breaking: Kansas City Chiefs made final decision on Kicker Harrison Butker…

This season, the Kansas City Chiefs want to create history. They will be the first team in NFL history to

win the Super Bowl three times in a row if they are successful in winning Super Bowl LIX. There is no

doubting that they are already among the most remarkable dynasties in NFL history, regardless of

whether they are able to do this.

A few teams can claim that they have already won three Super Bowls in five seasons. Furthermore, they

have Patrick Mahomes, the franchise quarterback, signed until the 2031 campaign. Put another way,

they already possess the most crucial component needed to be a Super Bowl contender for the ensuing

eight seasons. As the participants

While the coaches are concentrated on winning the Super Bowl in their third consecutive year, the front

office is making plans to keep the team competitive for many years to come.

It is indisputable that kicker Harrison Butker has contributed significantly to the Chiefs’ recent success,

even though Mahomes and other skill position players receive much of the credit. This includes their

Super Bowl triumphs.

There is a strong speculation that Kansas City may shortly extend their contentious kicker, per a piece

published by Joe Summers of KC Kingdom:

“X (formerly known as Twitter) user PrettyRickey213, who has developed an underground following this

summer by revealing big scoops ahead of major reporters, claims that Kansas City will soon award

Harrison Butker a new contract and make Creed Humphrey the highest-paid center in football.”

Summers points up that PrettyRickey213, an X user, says the Chiefs plan to extend the contracts of

Butker and center Creed Humphrey.

Although some people might prefer to disregard posts made by non-NFL media members, it is

important to remember that the same person also posted a few days before to Jordan Love’s contract

extension with the Green Bay Packers being made official.

Kansas City Chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker Is Valuable to the Team Despite Controversy

Harrison Butker was largely unknown to many fans outside of Kansas City until this offseason. But he

became a hot topic on social media and television after making several rude and contentious remarks

about different categories of people during his Benedictine College commencement speech.

The Chiefs players, for their part, have disassociated themselves from the ideologies expressed in

Butker’s statement. They have, nevertheless, supported him both as a person and as a colleague.

Given his performance on the field, it is understandable why. Butker made an astounding 94.3% of his

field goals and 100% of his tries at extra points last year. Over the entire year, he only missed two kicks.

Butker only made 75% of his field goal tries in 2022, the year before. On kicks that were at least fifty

yards away, four of his six misses occurred. Within 50 yards, he was 15/17 (88.2%) on kicks.

Butker has made 89.1% of field goals and 94.5% of extra points in his career.

It has been in the NFL Playoffs, though, that Butker has proven he is one of the greatest kickers in the

game today. Last postseason, he made all 11 of his field goal attempts. In the three seasons in which

Kansas City has won the Super Bowl, Butker is 19/20 (95%) on field goal attempts and 33/34 (97.1%) on

extra point attempts.

As Chiefs fans are well aware, playoff games and the Super Bowl can be determined by the slimmest of

margins. Locking Butker up for the immediate future would be a good idea for the organization, albeit an

unpopular one outside the fanbase.
