Good news: Norwich City Superman and his wife welcome their first child…

A Norwich City-mad couple have given their son the middle name ‘Farkelife’ in honour of manager Daniel Farke.

The Canaries defeated Blackburn Rovers 2-1 last weekend to guarantee their promotion to the Premier League.

On April 23, Shun and Maiko Tomii welcomed their baby boy Kiraku into the world.

Given how close the birth was to Norwich securing promotion, they made the decision to give their kid a middle name in recognition of the accomplishment.

They used the term Farkelife in honour of their German manager Daniel Farke, which was a cry popularised by Blur.

Ever since moving to Norwich from Japan 25 years ago, Mr. Tomii has been a Norwich supporter.

He owns a sushi restaurant in the city with his spouse.

“Middle names are not customary in Japan; they are a European practice,” he informed the Eastern Daily Press.

“I desired something English, or Norwich-related and Norwich-supporting.

My spouse asked, ‘What about Farkelife?’

“Perhaps not a player’s name—it’s about the club, the supporters, and the entire culture in one word, Farkelife—rather than just Pukki.”

In their season finale against Aston Villa, Norwich only needs a point to win the Championship.
