In an attempt to preserve their players’ health for the regular season, the Kansas City Chiefs rested a large number of players for their game against the Chicago Bears on Thursday night. Regretfully, a young offensive lineman with promise had to leave the preseason finale due to injury.
Wanya Morris, an offensive tackle, left the game on Thursday during the first quarter. Morris has a knee injury, team reporter Matt McMullen stated during the in-game broadcast. He will not be back, so his 2024 preseason schedule is over.
Morris, who was chosen by Kansas City in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, has had a difficult month. He has already had to contend with a bone bruise in his knee and a shoulder ailment to finish training camp and go on with the preseason. Morris was observed leaving the pitch while holding his knee, and he subsequently received some attention on the on-site medical training table. It is unknown if Thursday’s injury is to the same leg.
After Morris’s injury, Chukwuebuka Godrick took his place. Behind Kingsley Suamataia (left) and Jawaan Taylor (right), who are rookies, are reserve offensive tackles Lucas Niang and Ethan Driskell.
