Norwich City can confirm that Teemu Pukki will leave the club upon the expiry of his contract this summer.

In the summer of 2018, Pukki signed a free transfer to Norwich City after playing for Danish team Brøndby IF.

Since then, the Finland international has made 204 appearances and helped the team win two Championship league crowns. He has scored 88 goals in those games.

Pukki is presently fourth on the club’s all-time scoring list, with only Iwan Roberts, Terry Allcock, and Johnny Gavin having scored more goals than him.

“This has not been an easy decision because of what Norwich City means and has done for me,” Pukki stated in an interview with canaries.co.uk.

“Although I’ve enjoyed my time with this fantastic club, I’m eager for another fresh experience at the stage of my career and the knowledge that I still have a few years left in me.

“I have a lot of great recollections from my time here, including highs and lows. The two promos were outstanding.

Both professionally and personally, these past five years have undoubtedly been the finest of my career. Nobody, I suppose, anticipated things would go as smoothly as it has. I shall always hold a particular place in my heart for this city and club.

I have a lot of meaning for this club. When I first signed up here, the club was really welcoming and easy to get into. I’ve had a great time here, and I’ll miss the entire club. The players and support personnel are among the most amazing people in the area.

“I think I have a unique bond with Norwich and our fans,” They’ve always left me feeling happy. With a few objectives and a successful conclusion to the season, I hope I can assist offer them one last gift.

“Obviously, a lot still depends on how these last few games turn out. My entire attention is on this season and making every effort to succeed. We are certain that we can still meet our goals.

“Teemu has done so much for Norwich City during his five years with us, and it is always a sad day when a club legend decides to leave,” stated sporting director Stuart Webber.

“We are pleased with all that he has accomplished. He has scored a staggering quantity of goals throughout his five wonderful years with us. He has shared in some of the most amazing experiences we have ever had, and he will justly live on for a very long time as a club legend.

“He has distinguished himself as a representative of this club and has been an amazing comrade. He is aware that Carrow Road and the Lotus Training Centre will always be happy to see him back.

“We appreciate all that he has done. We hope that he has a few more magical moments in the coming weeks and wish him and his family the best of luck with whatever comes next.
