Carlos Alcaraz fires nine-word warning to Jannik Sinner as pair practice together.
As the two practiced together at Flushing Meadows, Carlos Alcaraz wasn’t hesitant to give Jannik Sinner a warning. With both players playing in the second round of the US Open later today, the two are expected to meet in the semifinals.
Carlos’s brother Alvaro Alcaraz was also there to lend a hand, hitting balls with his brother while Sinner took a nap.
Additionally, footage on social media revealed the world No. 3 having difficulty returning serves, which prompted him to make a light-hearted remark about Sinner.
Alvaro is no stranger to the justice system. He frequently competes in ITF competitions; the most recent one being the M25 Murcia tournament in Spain, when he lost to fellow countryman Sergi Perez in the opening round.
The top-ranked player in the world, Sinner, who started his campaign in America under intense criticism, probably enjoyed the funny situation. This month, it was revealed that the 23-year-old had avoided suspension even though he had failed two doping tests in March at Indian Wells.
You know, that’s just the way things were and went. I’m not in control of how the players will respond, so if I have something to say to someone, I go there alone because that’s my personality.
