BREAKING: Atlanta Braves have signed the largest player in MLB history….

By agreeing to a minor league contract for outfielder Eddie Rosario, the Atlanta Braves have made a significant roster addition. Rosario, who was cut by the Washington Nationals, is going to play for Gwinnett, the Braves Triple-A club. The Braves also announced that outfielder Eli White has been brought up to the major level roster at the same time as this move. In order to make room for White, the Braves placed left-hander Ray Kerr on the 60-day disabled list and optioned Forrest Wall to Triple-A.

Just one day before to this signing, Rosario’s release from the Nationals was officially completed. He was designated for assignment by the Nationals earlier in the week, and no team claimed him off waivers even though he was due to be paid roughly $950,000 for the balance of the season. The Braves will only have to pay Rosario the prorated minimum salary if he is finally promoted to Atlanta’s major league roster; the Nationals will be responsible for the remaining portion of his contract.

In the offseason, Rosario inked a minor league contract with the Nationals, which guaranteed him a salary of $2 million should he make it onto the main league team. Although this was the case, his early-season batting line of.183/.226/.329 and just seven home runs in 235 plate appearances were somewhat disappointing. His inability to perform well against left- and right-handed pitchers finally resulted in his release.

The Braves’ current outfield situation played a role in their decision to bring Rosario back. Renowned athlete Ronald Acuña Jr. is sidelined for the whole season due to an ACL tear, while Michael Harris II is also listed as ailing due to a hamstring strain. In addition, Ramon Laureano, a new arrival, has been battling a back problem. Their outfield depth is being reduced by recent losses, so Rosario might be a key addition in terms of both defence and left-handed hitting.

His excellent 2021 season with the Braves ended with a World Series MVP performance, which may indicate that a comeback is possible.

Eli White has been elevated to the position of outfielder in addition to Rosario’s comeback. Despite having suffered from injuries throughout his career, White has performed admirably at Triple-A this year. He might be a valuable addition to the Braves lineup while they wait for the return of their injured players because of his ability to play strong defence and run the bases efficiently.

The Braves’ current roster changes are a reflection of their continued efforts to overcome a difficult season, as injuries have had a major influence on their starting lineup. In order to fill the void left by these developments, Rosario and White will both be essential.
