SAD NEWS: Top Derby County player dropped out from the roster after a devastated injury…

Paul Warne sheds light on David Ozoh as Derby County face anxious wait after two more sidelined

Derby County will send midfielder David Ozoh for a scan on Monday in an effort to ascertain the extent of the player’s hamstring injury.

The Crystal Palace player, who is on loan, felt his back of his leg early in the second half of Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Cardiff and had to be replaced. Given how good he has been since joining the team in the summer, Derby will be praying the injury is not serious as he headed straight down the tunnel at Pride Park.

After the adolescent is evaluated, Warne—who revealed that Tom Barkhuizen and Liam Thompson have also sustained injuries—will know more the following week.

“He (David) is a bit down in the dumps, bless him,” he stated. “I really should know this, but I’m not sure if he’s ever had a hamstring injury.

“He clearly felt it, but the extent of it is yet unknown. On Monday, he will get a scan; the results could indicate that he has a twinge or that he has been sick for eight or twelve weeks.

“We will be able to get him back because we are fortunate to have a strong medical team.” Liam Thompson was part of my plans, but he felt his groin stiffen during Friday’s final training session.

“He’ll be absent for a few weeks. Tuesday during the warm-up, Tom Barkhuizen felt his calf. It became more taut, but instead of continuing and tearing it, he entered and is likely to stay for a few weeks.

“Tawanda had a concussion, but the game on Saturday would have been appropriate for him because of his incredible athleticism and ball-traveling ability. He too is irritated.”
