Daniel Jones needs to show he’s Giants’ $40 million man — or else

LANDOVER, Maryland — The vultures are circling Daniel Jones during one game, a Game for the Rages, smelling the blood of the Walking Dead Quarterback.
Daniel Jones' poise adds excitement to possible NFC Wild Card game

Whether Jones is or soon will be, only Brian Daboll knows. If this is his last chance, he needs to get off the mat, get off the mat now, play fearlessly against the Commanders on Sunday, and let it rip like there’s no tomorrow.

The quarterback scared the coach in the first game, and when the coach sees his quarterback acting scared, he will coach the quarterback out of fear, which is always a surefire way to end badly.

The irate fan base, which primarily cares about Jones, deserves better than to be treated like a pariah.

No head coach with the courage of his convictions will allow his fan base or media scrutiny or social media venom to dictate any quarterback change, because it can rightfully be construed as panic.
