BREAKING: Norwich City star jailed for 6 month for unnecessary car crash…

Flynn Clarke, a 20-year-old midfielder for Norwich City, was sentenced to a year in jail on Friday after entering a guilty plea.

Cannisters of nitrous oxide were discovered in the car when he was heading to a dance, according to Cambridgeshire Police.

According to PC Alex Thomas, the accident’s result on the A47 close to Peterborough “could have been much worse”.

During his sentencing at Cambridge Crown Court, Clarke, who scored on his Scotland Under-21 debut last year, was also granted an interim driving restriction.

On April 30, 2022, at roughly 14:30 BST, he was travelling along the A47 at Thorney in a BMW 218i when he collided with a Fiat Ducato campervan, according to police.

Then a Land Rover Defender crashed into the RV’s rear.

A witness informed law enforcement Prior to the collision, Clarke was driving “erratically,” swerving in and out of lanes and appearing to be inattentive while operating the BMW.
“Unnecessary collision”

Two 19-year-old men who were passengers in the back seat of the vehicle, Clarke, of Plumstead Road, Thorpe End, Norwich, sustained minor injuries, while another 19-year-old male passenger and a 19-year-old female passenger sustained significant injuries.

While his 60-year-old female passenger only sustained minor injuries, the 59-year-old motorhome driver also sustained critical injuries.

The Land Rover’s driver and passenger were unharmed.

According to PC Thomas, Clarke drove extremely irresponsibly that day, resulting in an avoidable collision that injured six people—four of whom were his pals.

“I hope he has learnt a lesson by seeing the consequences of driving so dangerously.”

Since joining City from Peterborough United two years prior, Clarke has not appeared on the pitch for the first team. “Internally in accordance with its own disciplinary procedure,” is how the club is approaching the situation.

He was loaned to Dagenham & Redbridge of the National League earlier this month for the duration of the season.
