JUST IN: Braves Ace fights for his money as Braves become afraid of paying him agreed $150 Million.

Braves superstar making it hard for team to not pay him $150 Million

Ace Max Fried has been a valuable member of the Atlanta Braves pitching rotation for the past eight years.
Max Fried talks staying in Atlanta with free agency looming

Fried joined the Braves in 2017 and has played for them ever since, making his major league debut. After 166 games, he has a 3.11 ERA in his career. With 27 starts this season and a 3.49 ERA, the seasoned lefty has shown himself once more.

However, this might be his final season in Atlanta.

This winter, the Braves star will become a free agent, and Atlanta will undoubtedly face competition for his services. He is going to be among the top players available. At just 30, he has shown to be a highly trustworthy member of Atlanta’s team.

Without a doubt, Atlanta needs to exert every effort to have Fried return this winter. But he will come with a price. According to Spotrac, the great ace is expected to sign a six-year contract worth over $150 million.

Still, the Braves can afford him. Atlanta has been excellent in securing big deals for its homegrown players early on, so the yearly value isn’t too high. The Braves have a respectable payroll as a result.

Fried has exceeded Atlanta’s expectations in every way. In addition to winning three Gold Glove Awards and being selected to two All-Star teams, he assisted in leading the Braves to a 2021 World Series victory. It will be much simpler for Atlanta to compete in 2025 with Fried rather than without him.
