TERRIBLE: Chiefs key player suffers brutal injury and he wont be playing again…

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco, who injured his fibula during Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, would probably be placed on injured reserve. In order to assess the extent of the injuries, Pacheco is undergoing additional testing.

With just a minute left in the game, he departed the stadium and was seen wearing a walking boot and crutches. After the game, Chiefs coach Andy Reid didn’t say much beyond that Pacheco will be tested on Monday.

In the 26-25 victory, the 25-year-old Pacheco put on a strong display, gaining 90 yards through rushes on 19 carries in addition to five 21-yard grabs. He has 135 yards of total ground gain this season, one score, and an average of 4.0 yards per carry.

Samaje Perine is listed as Isiah Pacheco’s backup; however, Perine did not play on Sunday. Following the final roster cuts, Perine was released by the Denver Broncos and signed with the Chiefs.
