Latest Jordan Love injury update might spell trouble for Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings, who were the only club in the NFC North without a loss this early in the season, witnessed the collapse of two of their three division opponents in Week 2. As if a 2-0 start couldn’t get any better.

The opposing club, the Green Bay Packers, started backup quarterback Malik Willis and defeated the Indianapolis Colts 16–10. With the victory, the Packers’ record now stands at 1-1, one game behind the Vikings and tied with the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions.

The Vikings are gearing up for a challenging Week 3 showdown against the 2-0 Houston Texans, but some supporters can’t help but look ahead after some news leaked on Wednesday.

Following an MCL injury sustained in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles, Love was expected to miss three to six weeks of action. But as of right now, things are looking much better for Green Bay.

Love was observed practicing with the Packers on Wednesday afternoon, participating in warm-ups and individual drills.

Love’s status for Week 3 is less uncertain now that he is back to practice, at least somewhat, than it was before.

Love will return and start for the Packers if he is well enough, according to head coach Matt LaFleur. However, it would also be excellent if Love could get some practice in before heading back.

It would make sense for Love to sit out one more game and allow Malik Willis to face his former team, but then, in Week 4, he could make his return against Minnesota.

What a time to return.
