Steelers RB Jaylen Warren fined $48k for illegal hit against the Browns... despite not being penalized during the game | Daily Mail Online

Pittsburgh Jaylen Warren, a running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers, may not be able to play in their upcoming game due to a knee injury.

After the first half, Warren didn’t appear well enough to continue, according to head coach Mike Tomlin, so he was substituted out.

In his news conference, Tomlin stated, “Jaylen Warren wasn’t able to finish there late in the second half.” “I took him out of the match. He just didn’t seem to be operating at full capacity. We’ll assess him.

Warren was coming off a game in which he had nine rushes for 42 yards against the Denver Broncos, so this development is disheartening.

All this following a hamstring injury that restricted him to only two carries for seven yards in their season opener against the Atlanta Falcons and kept him out for a large portion of the preseason.

After the game, Warren had an MRI on his knee, which suggested that the injury might be more serious than first believed, according to Nick Farabaugh of PennLive. Farabaugh added that Warren would be limited in practice to start the week and that the knee problem had nothing to do with his prior hamstring injury. On the other hand, the extent of his damage is still unknown.

There are other backfield players with injuries besides Warren. Najee Harris was spotted with a sling on his arm on Monday after suffering an injury to his arm over the weekend. Harris won’t be restricted in his practice, though, as of this coming week.

The Steelers will probably need to rely significantly on Cordarelle Patterson’s talents. who played both wide receiver and running back against the Los Angeles Chargers. With neither running back at full strength, Patterson will have to step up and create plays for the Steelers offense. In his limited rushes against the Chargers, Patterson had 4 rushes for 33 yards.
