Paddy Bowden, the estranged wife of Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson, passed away on Monday following an

unidentified “tragic accident.” Dickinson and Bowden had been married for 29 years, but they had recently divorced.

According to The Independent, Bowden’s body was discovered at the Chiswick neighbourhood of West London,

which the couple had previously lived in. Dickinson and Bowden were parents to three children: daughter Kia and

boys Austin and Griffin. Austin leads the metal band As Lions as their lead singer, and Griffin sings for the metalcore

group SHVPES, which is pronounced “Shapes.”

In a succinct statement, Bruce Dickinson said, “This is a terrible tragedy that appears to be a tragic accident.” Austin,

Griffin, Kia, and I are heartbroken for our children. We won’t be commenting further out of respect for Paddy during

this extremely trying and terrible time for our family.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman told The Sun, “We were called at 9:42 a.m. today to reports of a person

unwell in Chiswick.” Two ambulance teams were dispatched to the area; the first one showed up in less than two

minutes. Regretfully, the patient had passed away.

Bowden and Dickinson divorced last year after getting hitched in 1990. It was stated that the couple was in the

process of divorcing.

Iron Maiden was scheduled to embark on their big “Legacy of the Beast Tour” this year, but the pandemic forced

them to postpone all of their 2020 concerts until 2021.
