Chiefs’ HC Andy Reid Announces Significant Change After Rashee Rice Injury (Report)
In week four, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Los Angeles Chargers to maintain their perfect season. Kansas City
grabbed a 17-10 triumph over the host squad on way to a 4-0 start. Although the Chiefs’ 4-0 record doesn’t surprise
many analysts, their journey there does.
Travis Kelce had been practically useless through the first three games as Rashee Rice became Patrick Mahomes’
number one choice. But Rice’s injury has altered the offense’s situation once more.
Following Rashee Rice’s injury, Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid announced a major change (Report)
When it was revealed last month that Marquise “Hollywood” Brown will probably miss the entire 2024 regular
season, the Chiefs were dealt a severe setback. Not only is their top receiver, Rashee Rice, out for several weeks due
to a fractured fibula, but starting running back Isiah Pacheco is remains sidelined.
Rice and tight end Travis Kelce, who were both reliably productive wide receivers in the previous season, more than
made up for the Chiefs’ shallow wide receiver depth. With Rice out of the picture, Kelce, youngster Xavier Worthy,
and seasoned player JuJu Smith-Schuster will have to step up big.
Rick caught 79 catches for 938 yards and seven touchdowns in the previous season. Rashee Rice accounted for 288
yards and two scores on 24 receptions in the Chiefs’ first four games in 2024.
