Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford recently shared that the cost of meals at the club’s training ground is deducted from his salary. Bamford, who joined Leeds from Middlesbrough in 2018, revealed this on the “My Mate’s A Footballer” podcast. He mentioned that the meals at Thorp Arch training ground cost about £3.50 per day and are not provided for free, despite his long service to the club.

Bamford has had standout seasons, especially in 2019/20 and 2020/21, but recent injuries have limited his playing time. Currently, he’s preparing for a crucial match against Sheffield United, while Leeds is reportedly in talks to sign former West Ham midfielder Cheikhou Kouyaté.
