London, UK – In a surprise move, iconic British pop-rock duo Tears for Fears have announced the release of their previously unreleased epic single, “Electric Storm”. The song, which was recorded in 1981 during the sessions for their debut album “The Hurting”, features a 10-minute epic track that showcases the band’s signature blend of synth-pop and rock elements.

According to the band’s lead vocalist, Roland Orzabal, “Electric Storm” was always intended to be a part of “The Hurting” album, but was ultimately shelved due to time constraints.

“We’re thrilled to finally share this lost track with our fans,” Orzabal said in a statement. “This song is a true epic, with soaring vocals and intricate instrumentation. We’re excited for our fans to experience it.”

“Electric Storm” is set to be released on February 14, 2025, as a digital single, and will be available on all major streaming platforms.

The song will also be included as part of a forthcoming deluxe reissue of “The Hurting” album, which is set to be released in spring 2025.

Tears for Fears will embark on a world tour in support of the reissue in summer 2025. Dates and ticket information will be announced soon.
