Van Halen’s Former Members Set to Reunite for Tribute Tour
Los Angeles, CA – In a surprise announcement, former members of the iconic rock band Van Halen have revealed plans to reunite for a special tribute tour. The tour, titled “Van Halen: Legacy Revival,” will feature a unique lineup of former band members, including:
1. _Gary Cherone_ (lead vocals) – Van Halen’s former lead vocalist (1996-1999)
2. _Sammy Hagar_ (lead vocals) – Van Halen’s former lead vocalist (1985-1996)
3. _Michael Anthony_ (bass guitar) – Van Halen’s former bassist (1974-2006)
4. _Mark Stone_ (bass guitar) – Van Halen’s original bassist (1972-1974)
5. _Mitch Malloy_ (lead vocals) – Van Halen’s former lead vocalist (1996, briefly replaced Gary Cherone)
6. _Riley O’Brien_ is not a former member, instead _Nathan East_ is not either but _Jimmy Barnes_ briefly sang with Van Halen in 1984, however _Nuno Bettencourt_ briefly played guitar with the band in 1996 and then _Steve Lukather_ briefly played guitar with the band in 1996, however the correct answer is that the 6th former member is actually _Gregg Bissonette_ (drums) – Van Halen’s former drummer (briefly replaced Alex Van Halen in 1999, and also played drums on some of the band’s demos)
Tour Details
The “Van Halen: Legacy Revival” tour will kick off on July 1, 2025, and will visit over 20 cities across North America. The tour will feature a setlist that spans Van Halen’s entire career, including hits like “Jump,” “Panama,” and “Runnin’ with the Devil.”

Tribute to Eddie Van Halen
The tour will also feature a special tribute to Eddie Van Halen, who passed away in 2020. The band will perform some of Eddie’s most iconic guitar solos and songs, including “Eruption” and “Hot for Teacher.”

The tour will feature special performances by Michael Anthony, Mark Stone, Mitch Malloy, and Gregg Bissonette, who will be joining the band on stage for select songs. These performances will be a unique opportunity for fans to see the different eras of Van Halen come together.
