Norwich City players share guidance on caring for babies
Onel Hernandez, a Canaries winger, Ben Gibson, a defender, and George Long, a goalie, discuss the difficulties they had raising their newborns in a video for the Protecting Babies is Everyone’s Business campaign.
Launched by Norfolk and Waveney Children and Young People’s Health Services, the campaign teaches parents how to respond to their crying baby by explaining that it’s normal and teaching them how to get help if it gets too much to handle.
Gibson stated: “Sometimes you can panic, sometimes you can worry and stress but those are all normal feelings to have.” Gibson will be departing the club this summer following four seasons.
Mylie, the 31-year-old’s premature delivery at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital in December, prompted him to lately talk about his own troubles.
Mylie was able to return home with her family after spending six weeks in critical care, where she is now content and in good health.
However, he added that initially, a baby’s cries might elicit a wide range of feelings in parents, making them feel uneasy and overwhelmed.
He continued: “That’s all okay and something you do adapt to as you get to know your baby.”
Parents and carers are encouraged to get in touch with the Norfolk and Waveney CYP for guidance.
With a kid of four years old, Hernandez declared: “It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me.” After you take on a role in life, everything that happens to you is amazing, and each day is joyful.”
Long has a kid who is fifteen months old. “He cried a lot but that’s to be expected and that’s their way of communicating so it’s just learning to quickly recognise what the cries mean and get up to speed with what they need.”
