Toronto Blue Jays Will Reportedly Entertain Trade Offers For Superstar This Offseason
According to a report from Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Toronto Blue Jays may be open to moving superstar
shortstop Bo Bichette this offseason. Additionally, Nightengale suggests that the organization might try to sign Vladimir
Guerrero Jr., which would make him the team’s front-runner and favored option out of the two.
From Sunday morning’s notepad kept by Nightengale:
Shortstop Bo Bichette, who becomes a free agent following the 2025 season and has no intention of staying in Toronto, is
anticipated to receive trade proposals from teams this winter.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the first baseman, is also a free agent after the 2025 campaign, but the Blue Jays would like to try to
sign him before then.
The situation with Bichette is an interesting one for the Jays. His season average is a pitiful.223 with four home homers.
Despite playing just 79 games, he has also sustained many injuries. His calf issue has put him on the disabled list for the
time being.
How then do the Jays behave? In an effort to revitalize the franchise, they would probably be selling him for a low price.
There is no guarantee he will rebuild his value for a move at the trade deadline the following year, but they may hold onto
him through the offseason.
In addition, they may just stick onto him if they keep him and he plays well in the first half of the next season, but then they
run the chance of losing him for nothing more than a comp selection at the end of the campaign.
How Much One of the more fascinating topics of conversation over the approaching offseason will be profits. On Sunday
afternoon, the Blue Jays will take on the Chicago Cubs.
