SCORPIONS Announce 60th-Anniversary Hometown Concert With JUDAS PRIEST
German rock legends SCORPIONS are set to celebrate their 60th anniversary with a major concert in their
hometown. The “60th Anniversary – Coming Home” event will take place on July 5, 2025, at the Heinz Von Heiden
Arena in Hannover, featuring special guests including JUDAS PRIEST. Tickets will be available starting October 28
at 10:00 a.m. through Eventim.de.
In a recent interview, guitarist and founder Rudolf Schenker reflected on the band’s long journey, emphasizing their
ability to stay fresh and relevant. He noted that despite the challenges of fame, SCORPIONS have maintained strong
partnerships within the band, allowing them to navigate their success independently.
Guitarist Matthias Jabs also discussed the band’s ongoing appeal, sharing that after a 2010 farewell tour
announcement, fans and promoters encouraged them to continue performing. He expressed excitement for next
year’s celebrations and highlighted the importance of creating new music alongside their classic hits.
In previous discussions, both Schenker and lead singer Klaus Meine have dismissed retirement talk, acknowledging
the shorter road ahead while focusing on the joy of performing and connecting with fans. Meine reiterated that their
motivation stems from a younger generation discovering their music, which fuels their desire to keep playing.
The SCORPIONS, known for their classic album “Rock Believer,” released in 2022, continue to thrive in the rock
scene, with plans for a memorable anniversary celebration on the horizon.
