In an electrifying announcement, the legendary Scottish band **Simple Minds** has revealed plans for a **worldwide 2025 tour** celebrating their extraordinary 45-year career. Alongside the tour, the band will release a rare archival album titled **“Echoes of the Minds”**, featuring unreleased tracks, demos, and reimagined versions of their greatest hits.

 

The tour, aptly named **“Alive and Timeless,”** will span five continents and include iconic venues such as Madison Square Garden in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Sydney Opera House. Fans can expect a spectacular audiovisual experience, with the band blending their powerful live sound with cutting-edge stage design and visuals inspired by their early music videos.

 

Speaking about the announcement, frontman **Jim Kerr** said:

*“This tour is not just a celebration of our past but a testament to the enduring connection we have with our fans. We’ve dug deep into our archives to bring something truly special, both on stage and in the studio.”*

 

The accompanying album, “Echoes of the Minds,” will feature never-before-heard recordings from their early years, including alternate versions of **“Don’t You (Forget About Me)”** and rare outtakes from their groundbreaking album *New Gold Dream (81–82–83–84)*. The band has also reimagined some of their classics with orchestral arrangements, showcasing their evolution over the decades.

 

In a surprising twist, Simple Minds has also hinted at collaborations with contemporary artists for the tour, with rumors of performances alongside acts like **Coldplay** and **The Killers**, both of whom have cited Simple Minds as a major influence.

 

Tickets for the tour go on sale next month, with pre-sale access for fans who pre-order the album. With a legacy that spans generations, Simple Minds is once again proving why they remain one of the most iconic bands in music history.
