New boys in the EFL Championship The new intake of full-time scholars for the 2024–2025 season has been announced by Derby County.

Twelve players, including Charles Ebuka Agbawodikeizu, who is eligible for the Golden Eaglets, inked scholarship deals with the Rams. Agbawodikeizu formerly played for West Ham United.

A number of other people have signed contracts for scholarships, including Sean Corry, Braidy Connell-Webster, Rio Canoville, AJ Doyle, Alfie Friars, Khace Gordon, Israel Green, Dantel Hodges, Marley Mintus, Harvey Rees, and James Ward.

Ebuka’s goal for the upcoming season is to play in the U18 Premier League North.

At the end of June, at the new scholars’ induction event at Pride Park Stadium, the new players were greeted by the team.

Ebuka signed on the dotted line during an induction ceremony held in the Toyota Suite in front of his family.

Ebuka stated that he joined Derby County with the intention of using the next season to get his first team debut. He has promised to give it his all.

Additionally, Nigerian forward Justin Oguntolu has begun his second year of scholarship with Derby County, the club has confirmed.
