Caleb Williams, the first overall pick, and Rome Odunze, the ninth overall pick, signed four-year contracts with the Chicago Bears on Tuesday after the team completed negotiations with their respective rookies. This action eliminated any ambiguity over their starting quarterback and receiver for training camp.

Williams’ deal specifics were anonymously revealed to The Associated Press by a source who is familiar with the transaction, as the organisation has not made an official announcement regarding it. Williams’ contract has a huge $25.5 million signing bonus in addition to a guaranteed $39.49 million.

The Chicago Bears have reached an agreement with quarterback Caleb Williams,  according to an AP source. Additionally, they have signed receiver Rome  Odunze - Sports Al Dente

Odunze’s deal was made public by the Bears, and both players have options that run through 2028.

Williams is considered a once-in-a-generation star and the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner. He is expected to contribute to the Bears’ long-standing need for a franchise quarterback in Chicago.

Williams amassed remarkable stats during his collegiate tenure under coach Lincoln Riley at Oklahoma and subsequently Southern California: 93 touchdown passes and 14 interceptions. He passed for 72 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions in his two years at USC.

Odunze, who performed well at Washington, and Williams join experienced receivers DJ Moore and six-time Pro Bowler Keenan Allen in Chicago.
