BIG COUNTRY’S FORMER BAND MEMBERS SET TO REUNITE FOR TRIBUTE TOUR
London, UK – In a surprise announcement, former members of the iconic Scottish rock band Big Country have revealed plans to reunite for a tribute tour, honoring the legacy of the band’s late lead vocalist and guitarist, Stuart Adamson.
The tour, which is set to kick off in the spring, will feature a lineup of former Big Country members, including Bruce Watson, Tony Butler, and Mark Brzezicki, who will be joined by special guest vocalist, Jamie Watson.
“We’re thrilled to be getting back together to celebrate the music of Big Country and to pay tribute to our dear friend and bandmate, Stuart Adamson,” said Bruce Watson, Big Country’s former guitarist. “We’ve got a fantastic set list planned, featuring all of the band’s biggest hits, as well as some surprises along the way.”
The tour will take the band to cities across the UK and Europe, with dates also planned for North America and Australia. Fans can expect to hear all of Big Country’s classic hits, including “In a Big Country,” “Look Away,” and “Fields of Fire,” as well as some of the band’s lesser-known tracks.
“We’re really looking forward to getting back out on the road and performing the music that we love,” said Tony Butler, Big Country’s former bassist. “It’s going to be a fantastic tour, and we can’t wait to share it with our fans.”
The reunion tour is a testament to the enduring legacy of Big Country, who were one of the most influential and successful bands of the 1980s. With their unique blend of Celtic rock and new wave, the band built a loyal following and released a string of hit albums and singles.
Stuart Adamson, the band’s lead vocalist and guitarist, passed away in 2001, but his music and legacy continue to inspire and influence new generations of fans. The tribute tour is a fitting tribute to his memory, and a celebration of the music that he and his bandmates created together.
