The Chicago Bears have officially signed their 2024 draft class. Rookies reported for training camp on
Tuesday afternoon, leaving only Rome Odunze and Caleb Williams unsigned. Both are now signed.
Williams signed to the slotted deal for the No. 1 overall pick, which is four years, $39.49M fully
guaranteed, with a $25.5M signing bonus, per Ian Rapoport. This followed Odunze’s Tuesday afternoon
signing of his contract.
Williams was selected by the Bears with the first overall pick in the April 2024 NFL Draft; the Carolina
Panthers had previously acquired the pick in a 2023 trade. Williams was selected by Chicago with the
pick, starting a new chapter in the team’s quarterback history.
Before moving to USC before of the 2022 season, Williams played his first season with the Oklahoma
Sooners under head coach Lincoln Riley. Williams earned the Heisman Trophy in his rookie season with
the Trojans after throwing for 4,537 yards, 42 touchdowns, and just five interceptions. In three years, he
completed his collegiate career as a passer with 10,082 yards, 93 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions.
This week, Chicago’s rookie class will begin working at Halas Hall, along with the remainder of the
Saturday roster reporting. There is a lot of excitement surrounding the Bears and their rookie
quarterback, so training camp should be very entertaining.

Rome Odunze signs rookie deal ahead of training camp
A few days before things officially get underway on Saturday, the Chicago Bears rookie class reports to
Halas Hall for training camp. They are getting ready for the 2024 season. Rome Odunze, a first-round
pick, has also signed his rookie contract, as the Bears rookies announced.
Odunze signed a four-year contract worth $22.7 million that is completely guaranteed, with a fifth-year
option, according to Ian Rapoport. In addition, he gets a $13.3 million signing bonus. Quarterback Caleb
Williams is the only member of the Bears rookie class that has not signed after Odunze’s signing.
The Bears used their own pick to draft Odunze at No. 9 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft after Williams was
taken at No. 1 overall. In the predraft process, Chicago had a high regard for Odunze, and when the cards
fell in their favor, they were able to acquire their man.
