BREAKING: Celtic elite star set to join premier league club as soon as possible…

Matt O’Riley has notified Celtic that he wants to join Brighton if a deal can be concluded, sources have told Football Insider.

The Seagulls have filed a formal proposal of £25million including major add-ons to try to get the versatile midfielder.

Celtic have rejected five proposals from Atalanta this transfer window, including one for up to £21.5 million, vowing to stick out for more.

The Premier League club has added more to their bid, and sources believe a deal could be reached within the next 24 hours.

Those close to Celtic believe O’Riley is eager to test himself in the Premier League after making a significant impact in Glasgow.

His likely departure would leave a significant gap in Celtic’s midfield, as he has played 124 games for the club since coming from MK Dons in 2022, scoring 27 goals and assisting 35 times.

Matt O’Riley is prepared to leave Celtic for the Premier League.

Despite the transfer rumours circulating this summer, O’Riley is claimed to have stayed professional and devoted to Celtic.

The Denmark international has played every minute of Celtic’s season thus far, contributing one assist in three outings.

However, he is now eager to relocate south of the border to pursue a career in the Premier League with Brighton.

Celtic are already looking into Hannibal Mejbri, a Manchester United midfielder, as a possible replacement for O’Riley.
