Breaking: kansas city chiefs reavealed three more players to be added into the roster…

Wednesday was a big day for the Kansas City Chiefs fanbase as it marked the beginning of the franchise’s

2024 NFL training camp. Over five months following the latest Super Bowl win, Chiefs fans finally got a

glimpse at next year’s roster as Andy Reid & Co. look to become the first three-peat champions in league

history.

The beginning of training camp also means that pressure is high for this year’s rookie class. While names

like Xavier Worthy and Kingsley Suamataia are locks to make the 53-man roster, other must put in more

work to make the cut. With that being said, it’s always possible that some first-year players exceed

expectations to force their way into the mix.

Keeping that in mind, here are three surprise rookies who could crack the Chiefs’ 53-man roster. rookies

who might make the 53-man roster of the Chiefs.

1. Kyle Sheets, WR

To start training camp, the Chiefs made a number of changes, one of which was signing wide receiver

Kyle Sheets. After being undrafted in April, the former Slippery Rock University player was waived by

the New Orleans Saints, which gave him the opportunity to try out for the Chiefs soon after.

Despite the modest expectations for the 6-foot-4, 220-pound playmaker, it seems like Sheets is making

an impression on the Kansas City staff and players already. According to team insider Matt McCullen, he

made a “impressive” catch at practice on Wednesday while already hanging out with Patrick Mahomes

and the other Chiefs quarterbacks.

Though most of the Chiefs’ wide receiver class is already determined, Sheets still has a chance to make

the team. Justyn Ross, Skyy Moore, and Kadarius Toney have not quite done enough to solidify their

futures with the squad, therefore the WR6 place is still open. Sheets has the potential to surprise a lot of

people if he can perform better than players like Cornell Powell, Montrell Washington, and Nikko

Remigio.

It will be intriguing to observe Sheets’ potential in the NFL. In his last season with the Rock, the

Springboro, Pennsylvania native scored touchdown after touchdown with a career-high 76 receptions for

1,186 yards and 17 touchdowns. Though it is unlikely that he will do what a pro does, it is evident that he

might have what it takes to make an effect.
