Patrick Mahomes Breaks Silence on Chiefs Bringing Back Kareem Hunt
After losing Isiah Pacheco for a long time, the Kansas City Chiefs made the big choice to sign their former star
Kareem Hunt. Samaje Perine and rookie Carson Steele were the only healthy running backs on the team. As a result,
the Chiefs promoted Keaontay Ingram from the practice squad and signed free agent Hunt.
Naturally, there was a lot of reaction to a big-name signing like Hunt. After all, Hunt and the Chiefs have a turbulent
past.
Hunt was chosen by Kansas City in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, and he quickly rose to the top of the
league’s running back rankings. Hunt helped the Chiefs to the postseason in his rookie season, where he was selected
to the Pro Bowl. Before a video of him abusing a lady went viral, he was headed for another amazing season.
After being added to the commissioner’s exempt list, the Chiefs let him go, and Clark Hunt claimed that Hunt had
lied to the team when they questioned him about the event.
Hunt was reinstated following an investigation and a league ban, and he played for the Cleveland Browns for five
years.
Hunt is now back in Kansas City, where it all began, and Patrick Mahomes is happy to see him.
Chiefs News: Kareem Hunt’s Return Pleases Patrick Mahomes
The star quarterback stated that Hunt has improved himself over the years and that he is supporting him, according
to Chiefs writer Nate Taylor of The Athletic.
Hunt joined the league in the same draft as Mahomes. Despite missing his rookie season, Mahomes and Hunt
started 11 games together in their second seasons before Hunt was cut.
