BREAKING NEWS: Norwich city elite star makes a final decision of leaving the squad.

Hull City summer signing Abu Kamara has admitted that the summer window was the right time for him to leave Norwich City.

During the Tigers’ pre-match press conference, Kamara told the reporters that talking to Hull manager Tim Walter made the choice to leave Carrow Road simpler.

Despite making just six games for the Canaries senior side overall, the 21-year-old left a lasting impression at Portsmouth the previous campaign.

He was a major factor in leading Pompey back to the Championship, scoring a lot of goals and dishing out lots of assists, and a lot of their supporters would have preferred him to stay.

Though there was no shortage of interest in the player during the summer window, their hopes of signing him permanently were likely hindered by his success at Fratton Park.

He might have even remained at Carrow Road, since Kamara was a part of Johannes Hoff Thorup’s ambitions.

But he only made fleeting appearances off the bench in the Canaries’ first two league games, and in the end, the midfielder submitted a transfer request.

It always appeared likely that the player would leave Norfolk before the end of the summer window when this request was made public, and a move to the MKM Stadium indeed happened.
