Rush Lost Epic Single “Pinnacle” Resurfaces After 39 Years
Toronto, ON – A long-lost epic single by legendary Canadian rock band Rush has resurfaced after 39 years, sending shockwaves of excitement throughout the music community.
Title: “Pinnacle”
Release Date: March 1, 2025 (originally recorded in 1986)
“Pinnacle” is a sprawling, 12-minute track that was initially recorded during the sessions for Rush’s iconic album “Power Windows.” However, the song was shelved due to its ambitious scope and the band’s desire to focus on more concise material.
According to guitarist Alex Lifeson:
“We’re thrilled to finally share ‘Pinnacle’ with our fans. This song represents a pivotal moment in Rush’s creative journey, and we’re proud to have it see the light of day.”
The single has been meticulously restored and remastered from the original tapes, featuring Rush’s signature blend of progressive rock, complex instrumentation, and thought-provoking lyrics.
“Pinnacle” will be available as a digital single and a limited-edition vinyl release, complete with original artwork designed by longtime Rush collaborator Hugh Syme.
Pre-orders for “Pinnacle” begin February 1, 2025. Fans can expect exclusive bonus content, including a behind-the-scenes look at the song’s creation.
