Norwich Man Charged After Allegedly Performing Sexual Acts on Dead Body
Following a five-month investigation by Norwich Police into the sexual desecration of a deceased lady in Norwich, a
man has been charged and placed under arrest.
Police say that in May, they were called to 12 Columbia Street in the City of Norwich in reference to a 71-year-old
woman who had died alone. State Police and Norwich both collected evidence from the spot.
Following an examination, Mark Paul Randall, 45, of Norwich, was taken into custody and accused of both sexual
misconduct and tampering with physical evidence. According to Norwich Police, Randall, a Level III sexual offender,
repeatedly engaged in sexual actions with the deceased over the course of several hours.
After being charged, Randall was released on a $25,000 bond with the promise to appear later.
