Ohio State football’s Caden Curry ejected for targeting. Will he face suspension in next game?
With 12 seconds left in the first half of Ohio State football’s game against Marshall, Caden Curry was dismissed due
to a targeting penalty.
Curry hit Marshall quarterback Stone Earle late in the play, prompting the call.
Curry won’t be punished for the Big Ten opening against Michigan State the following week since the infraction was
called in the first half.
Marshall was placed at the OSU 13-yard line by his penalty. The Thundering Herd scored on the next play when
Earle found Elijah Metcalf with a pass.
The Buckeyes led by 28 points at the half.
Curry was a formidable player for the Buckeyes before he left. Early in the second quarter, he forced the Thundering
Herd to punt after making an 11-yard loss on a third-down sack.
Playing behind All-Big Ten defensive ends Jack Sawyer and JT Tuimoloau, that was his first sack and third tackle of
the year.
