Breaking: Oklahoma City Thunder has yet successfully recruit 2 undoubted talents…

The Thunder had a successful offseason in Oklahoma City, as seen by their acquisitions of Isaiah Hartenstein and Alex

Caruso, which helped guarantee the team’s postseason position before the 2024–25 NBA season.

The team’s re-signings of Aaron Wiggins and Isaiah Joe, both of whom signed amazing deals in Oklahoma City, are two

decisions that are overlooked, though. Joe signed a four-year, $49 million contract, while Wiggins signed a five-year, $49

million agreement.

According to Yahoo Sports’ Dan Devine, Joe’s contract was one of seven “under-the-radar” deals negotiated during free

agency that “could be sneaky good.”

This summer, Oklahoma City signed a few free agents, but he wasn’t the most expensive one. In fact, he’s not even the most

expensive Isaiah player the Thunder have signed this month. Yet, Devine wrote, “keeping Joe on what appears to be a

sweetheart of a deal—one that features a team option for Year 4 and descends in annual salary.”

Outsiders may quickly scan the Thunder’s movements and overlook the two returning players more easily than the two new

ones, but the deal for the shooter was amazing. Since coming to Oklahoma City, Joe has developed and is now a fantastic

member of the rotation.

Despite signing for four more seasons, Devine hinted that Joe might not be taking on a bigger role for the Thunder;

nonetheless, he will have the chance to play a significant rotating role on a team that is vying for the championship.

“When you can secure the best years of an exceptional shooter who just turned 25 and is more defensively adept than you

may imagine for what is expected to be less than 7% of the salary cap According to Yahoo Sports’ Dan Devine, Joe’s contract

It makes perfect sense, Devine continued, “especially considering that midway through the contract, extensions for players

like Williams and Chet Holmgren will kick in, and Oklahoma City will need as much low-cost/high-productivity help as it

can find.”
