Breaking: personal terms not a problem, as kansas city chiefs emerging to finalise the deal of a new tackle…

Chiefs Urged To Trade For Browns Tackle

To strengthen their offensive line before the season begins, the Kansas City Chiefs may need a tackle. In

just a few weeks, they will embark on their quest for history, and the last thing they need is a weak

offensive line to hurt their prospects.

Thus, a Bleacher Report analyst recommends that the Chiefs and the Cleveland Browns trade.

Bleacher Report states, “Ideally, the Chiefs would be able to add a veteran tackle to the mix.” Although it

is difficult at this time of year, the Browns have a special circumstance that might allow them an

opening.

“Jack Conklin, a talented right tackle in the league, was forced to miss the previous season due to an

injury; rookie Dawand Jones performed admirably in his place.”

When given the chance, Jones performed admirably until an injury kept him out of action for the

remainder of the season. B/R also mentioned that the Browns might receive a third- and fifth-round

selection in 2025 in exchange for Conklin.

The Chiefs might not be willing to part with that much to acquire him, but you are very much all in when

you win two straight championships and declare your intention to go for a third in a row. (How does

head coach Andy Reid feel about the young tackles he is starting to use? Go here to read.)

Conklin has been a reliable tackle since being drafted, so trading him would be a difficult choice for

Cleveland. However, they may have to make the move if they can acquire younger and more skilled at

the position.

It would be ideal if Cleveland’s excess could benefit the Chiefs.
