QUEEN SETS TO REUNITE FOR 2025 GLOBAL CHARITY CONCERT, HINTS AT NEVER BEFORE HEARD MUSIC RELEASE
In a surprise announcement, Queen has revealed plans to reunite for a one-night-only global charity concert in 2025. The event, titled “A Night for the Ages,” will take place on August 15, 2025, at Wembley Stadium in London, with a live broadcast to over 100 countries worldwide.
The concert will feature the band’s current touring lineup, including Brian May, Roger Taylor, and Adam Lambert, as well as a special guest appearance by legendary bassist John Deacon, who has been retired from the band since 1997.
According to Brian May, “We’re thrilled to be reuniting for this incredible charity event. We’ve been working on some exciting new music, and we can’t wait to share it with the world.” Roger Taylor added, “This concert is going to be a real celebration of Queen’s music and legacy. We’re honored to be a part of it, and we’re looking forward to performing some of our biggest hits, as well as some surprises.”
The charity concert will benefit several organizations, including the Mercury Phoenix Trust, which was founded by Queen in 1992 to support HIV/AIDS research and awareness. The event is expected to raise millions of dollars for the charities involved.
In addition to the concert, Queen has hinted at the release of never-before-heard music, including unreleased tracks and demos from the band’s archives. Adam Lambert revealed, “We’ve been digging through the vaults, and we’ve found some amazing material that we think the fans are going to love. It’s going to be a real treat for Queen fans around the world.”
The concert will feature a mix of Queen’s biggest hits, including “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Will Rock You,” and “Another One Bites the Dust,” as well as some deeper cuts and surprises. The band has also promised to perform some of their new, unreleased material.
Tickets for the concert will go on sale on March 1, 2025, with prices ranging from £50 to £500. Fans can also purchase a special “VIP package” that includes a meet-and-greet with the band, a signed poster, and access to an exclusive pre-concert reception.
