Simple Minds Announces Highly Anticipated New Album Release Date

 

Glasgow, Scotland – Simple Minds, one of the most iconic and influential bands of the past four decades, is thrilled to announce the release date of their highly anticipated new album. The album, titled “Lightyears”, is set to be released on April 12, 2025, via BMG Records.

“Lightyears” is the band’s 20th studio album and marks a new chapter in their illustrious career. The album features 12 brand new tracks, including the lead single “Electric”, which will be released on February 22, 2025. The album was recorded in Glasgow and Berlin, and was produced by Simple Minds’ long-time collaborator, Andy Wright.
