Breaking: Slipknot prominent member departed the band due to family issues…

Two long-time members of Slipknot depart before their European tour.

As Slipknot’s European tour begins, the band’s lineup seems to be in chaos, with veteran keyboardist Craig Jones leaving and co-founder Shawn Crahan taking a vacation.

Ahead of the tour’s first night at the Nova Rock Festival in Austria on Wednesday, Slipknot co-founder and percussionist Shawn “The Clown” Crahan announced that he would be missing the journey to take care of his wife, who is battling unknown health issues.

This is the clown. Salutations to all of our fans. “I would like to take a moment to tell everyone that I’m back home supporting my wife through some health issues, and I’ll be back on the road as soon as I can,” he wrote in a social media post for the band.

The band then announced that long-time keyboardist Craig “133” Jones had officially departed the group.

In a since-deleted social media post, a Slipknot official said, “To our fans, Slipknot is announcing that we have parted ways with Craig Jones.” We hope Jones has the finest possible future.

By substituting a new photo of an unnamed individual wearing a mask for the notice of Jones’ departure, the band implies that they have already found a replacement for their missing keyboardist.

Jones transitioned to keyboards and samples in 1996 after taking guitarist Donnie Steele’s place in the Slipknot lineup.

Slipknot, who are currently on tour around Europe, will perform at the Greenfield Festival in Switzerland on Saturday.
