This summer, Bristol Rovers will get defender Taylor Moore, who was being pursued by Wigan Athletic, Barnsley, and Wycombe Wanderers, according to a report by Football Insider.
As Wigan Athletic gets ready for another season in League One under Shaun Maloney, they’ll need to go elsewhere for a center-back. They were ultimately 14 points outside of the play-offs after finishing 12th in the League One standings the previous season.
In an effort to strengthen their roster, the Latics have already made inroads into the market this summer by acquiring Andy Lonergan, Dion Rankine, Calvin Ramsay, and Michael Olakigbe. Over the coming months, they have the opportunity to add more players.
The DW Stadium now has more room and money after players like Josh Magennis, Jordan Jones, Ben Amos, and Stephen Humphrys left recently.

Caleb Taylor
After spending the second half of the previous season on loan at Bolton Wanderers, the 21-year-old has returned to West Brom. The Baggies must decide how to handle him during this window of time.
Taylor would be a good fit for Wigan Athletic because he is a young player with promise who has participated in a respectable number of senior games already in his career. He has spent his entire playing career with the Hawthorns and has also spent time away with Cheltenham Town.
Andy Smith
He is below Alfie Jones, Jacob Greaves, and Sean McLoughlin in Hull City’s hierarchy and the Latics should give him a look. Through their academy, the 22-year-old has made five appearances for the Tigers thus far.
In order to gain experience, Smith has also spent brief stints with Salford City, Grimsby Town, and Cheltenham Town in recent years. The man from Banbury’s contract with the MKM Stadium expires in 2026, although it’s unclear if Tim Walter still has him in mind.
Will Fish
The Manchester United player needs to put himself to the test in the Football League following his two loan stints at Hibernian. His next stop should definitely be Wigan Athletic.
Fish, a 21-year-old, has played 73 appearances across all competitions for Hibs after rising through the Old Trafford development ranks.
