Baltimore, Maryland (AP) – Eddie Jackson, a former safety for the Chicago Bears, and the Baltimore Ravens agreed to a one-year contract on Friday.

Jackson, 30, adds strength to a safety position that already has Marcus Williams and Kyle Hamilton. After leading the AFC with seven interceptions in the previous season, Geno Stone signed with Cincinnati, and he is anticipated to take over that role.

Jackson played in 100 games with 15 interceptions and 459 tackles over his first seven seasons with Chicago. In 2018 and 2019, he was selected for the Pro Bowl.

In February, Jackson was cut by the Bears. Foot issues had slowed him down, causing him to miss ten games in total over the previous two seasons.

On Sunday, the Ravens kick up training camp.
