Premiership club, Aberdeen have announced the signing of Nigerian forward, Peter Ambrose.
Ambrose linked up with the Dons from Hungarian side Ujpest for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old penned a three-year contract, with the option of another year.
The striker is Aberdeen’s second summer signing.
Ambrose expressed his delight after signing his contract.
“It feels so good to be here. I have had such a warm welcome from everybody and I think everything will
be very good here,” he told the club’s official website.
“I spoke to the manager and he told me his plans and what we will be working on. He told me that he
would teach me and direct me on how he wants to play and that I just have to trust him and everything
will be fine. just have faith in him, and everything will work out.
I felt incredibly appreciative when I learned of Aberdeen’s interest. I feel like it is a significant step for
me because I was aware of Aberdeen and the Scottish League when I was younger.
“I am excited to play in front of the Aberdeen supporters and to put on the Aberdeen shirt.”
Ambrose began his career in Nigeria with Abuja’s Optimum Academy before moving to Turkey in 2021
to play for Balikesispor.
The next season, the player was elevated to the first team.
After moving to Ujpest, the forward attracted interest from other clubs as he concluded the previous
campaign as the team’s leading goalscorer with 10 goals in 27 games.
