Djokovic announces a new addition to his coaching team
According to Novak Djokovic, Boris Bosnjakovic will take over as his team’s new temporary coach for
this year’s Roland Garros competition. Since parting ways with Goran Ivanisevic, the Serbian has not
had a consistent coach.
Bosnjakovic, a 50-year-old Novi Sad native, has had a significant impact on Djokovic’s professional
career. It remains to be seen if he can elevate Djokovic’s game, which has drawn criticism this year.
“Since my split with Goran, I have never confirmed that I have a permanent coach,” Djokovic remarked
at a news conference. I responded that Nenad was someone I looked up to in life and that she was there
to support me as a friend and mentor.
The 24-time champion expressed worries about a potential decline in form after losing heartbreakingly
to Tomas Machac in the Geneva semifinal. Djokovic’s followers have urged him to get a new coach in
order to improve his game.
“Boris is a member of my technical team when it comes to the analysis of my rivals, matches, and my
own game,” the speaker continued. Over the course of our many years of collaboration in various
capacities, Boris has remained the head coach at the tennis center in Novak. He will work with me on
strategy, preparation, and analysis as my tennis coach in Paris. I do not currently have a long-term
coaching solution for what will happen after this event.
