Josh Rojas, an infielder, can earn up to $1 million in performance bonuses in addition to his $3.5 million salary with the Chicago White Sox. The bonuses are based on games played and plate appearances. Rojas can earn $500,000 for playing in 90 games, with an additional $100,000 for every 10 games played up to 130 games. He can also earn $500,000 for reaching 300 plate appearances, with an additional $100,000 for every 50 plate appearances up to 500.

 

Rojas would also receive a $150,000 assignment bonus if he is traded. He can earn additional bonuses for winning awards such as MVP, World Series MVP, and Gold Glove. Rojas hit .225 with eight homers and 31 RBIs in 143 games with the Seattle Mariners last season. He became a free agent in November and signed with the White Sox. The 30-year-old has a .247 average with 34 homers and 189 RBIs over six seasons with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Seattle Mariners.
