The Ravens added two players to their practice squad on Wednesday, re-signing linebacker Kristian Welch and bringing in cornerback Anthony Kendall to strengthen their special teams.

Welch was released by the Denver Broncos after their Week 6 defeat. Although primarily a special teams player, he recorded the most defensive snaps of his career this season with 36, including one start.

An undrafted player from Iowa, Welch spent his first three seasons with the Ravens, participating in 43 games and making 21 tackles, mainly on special teams. He played 44 defensive snaps during that time and appeared in 14 games last year with the Green Bay Packers.

Welch could be valuable if linebacker Malik Harrison, who missed Sunday’s game against the Commanders due to a groin injury, is unavailable for this week’s matchup in Tampa Bay.

Kendall was recently released from the Tennessee Titans’ practice squad and takes the place of Damarion “Pepe” Williams, who was cut from Baltimore’s practice squad on Tuesday. Last season, Kendall played in 16 games for the Titans, primarily on special teams.

The 5-foot-10 cornerback, undrafted from Baldwin Wallace University, was recognized as the Ohio Athletic Conference defensive back of the year and earned second-team Div. III All-American honors in 2022. Notably, he became the first Baldwin Wallace alum to reach the NFL since 1987.
