Chicago Bears: Jaquan Brisker issues statement after former teammate died in tragic crash

Safety Jaquan Brisker of the Chicago Bears expressed his sadness upon learning that his former Penn State teammate had perished in an automobile accident on Friday night. Three friends from high school, including former Penn State cornerback A.J. Lytton, perished in a Maryland tragedy.

In an automobile accident, Jaquan Brisker’s former teammate passed away.

Lytton was a passenger in the collision that claimed the lives of former Maryland football player Isaiah Hazel and Minnesota Vikings 2024 fourth-round pick Khyree Jackson, according to an ESPN report:

According to the police, Hazel was operating a Dodge Charger with Jackson in the passenger seat when an Infiniti Q50 trying to change lanes quickly struck their vehicle. After veering off the road, the Charger ran into many tree stumps.

Lytton was taken to a hospital and later declared dead by medical staff, but Jackson and Hazel were declared dead at the scene, according to the police.

The driver of the third vehicle, her two passengers, and the driver of the Infiniti Q50 were all unharmed. Charges are still pending, but investigators think alcohol may have contributed to the collision.

During the 2021 season, Lytton and Brisker were teammates in the Penn State secondary. Following the news of Lytton’s passing, Brisker seemed disturbed in his social media conversations on X.

In response to the news of A.J. Lytton’s passing, Brisker

Brisker wrote, “It’s unbelievable [three heartbreak emojis].”

Reposting @brevmanbane’s remark, Brisker hinted to the Maryland State Police report suggesting alcohol may have contributed to the collision:

“Pardon me if this is not clear, but it seems like Anthony, Isaiah, and Khyree were all senselessly killed by the self-centred acts of someone who got away with it. This world is utterly unjust.

A statement regarding the incident was issued by the Chicago Bears.
